A very beat up 1963 Fender jaguar showed up in very bad shape.
The original frets were gone, no frets at all. Chunks of rosewood were missing, missing the last clay dot. Body had been hand sanded down to wood, going around the pickguard, control plates. Upon teardown and inspection, the guitar was factory painted three tone sunburst, and then factory re sprayed shoreline gold over the burst. What a shame.
the client decided to keep the natural finish, but remove the crude hand brushed paint job with a more refined finish appearance while retaining the natural relic vibe of the instrument.
